For twenty five years, Dr. Francis J. Butler, has advised some of the largest private foundations in the United States on charitable, religious and educational trends. He is considered an experienced, informed, and impartial observer of important financial and managerial challenges in the not for profit and religious worlds. Dr. Butler is quoted frequently by national and international news media, including the New York Times, Today, and CNN, and often speaks publically about philanthropy and religion. He is a founding board member of the National Leadership Roundtable on Church Management and Support Our Aging Religious and serves on the board of the University of San Francisco. Among several honors, Dr. Butler is the recipient of the Cardinal Cushing Medal for the Advancement of Church Related Research.
