| October 21, 1998 Foundation Association Web Site Features Resources For Grant Seekers Washington, D.C. ----- A newly upgraded web site developed by FADICA, Inc., an association of private foundations interested in Catholic activities, features resources for fund raising as well as news and information on projects under FADICA's auspices. The internet web address (www.fadica.org) not only contains information on The Catholic Funding Guide, a directory of over six hundred agencies that make grants to Catholic causes, but provides access to FADICA's published conference proceedings and other resources on Catholic fund raising and philanthropy. Graphics and technical assistance for the development of FADICA's web site was provided through Graves Fowler Associates, a Maryland design firm. FADICA has also listed project information on several major funding initiatives that originated with the organization including Support Our Aging Religious (SOAR!), the Religious Retirement Office, the Campaign for Eastern and Central Europe, the Spiritual Leadership Training Seminars at Boston College, and UNITAS, a marriage preparation program at St. John's University. Through linkages at the FADICA web site, browsers can access the Holy See, the National Conference of Catholic Bishops, Catholic Charities USA, The Woodstock Theological Center, Guidestar, an information service on all nonprofit organizations, the Foundation Center, the Council on Foundations, and the Charities Division of the State of Maryland among others. "We are pleased to be able to provide this expanded internet resource to foundation trustees, scholars, students, grant seekers, and everyone who may be interested in the work of Catholic philanthropy," stated FADICA's President, Francis J. Butler. FADICA is an association of over forty private foundations. Its mission is to help make private philanthropy more effective in assisting Catholic activities.
