Administrative Associate, Membership

FADICA, a Catholic Philanthropy Network, seeks an Administrative Associate for Membership to be part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial team.  FADICA supports effective philanthropy in service to a vital Catholic church and the common good, providing a symposia series, supporting member working groups, sponsoring research, and facilitating member collaboration and connection to Catholic leadership.  The Administrative Associate will provide administrative support to the President and CEO, with a focus on member services, scheduling, and correspondence. The ideal candidate has administrative or programmatic experience in philanthropy, faith-based organizations, or the nonprofit sector.   

 

FADICA members are among the most entrepreneurial, generous, and faith-driven funders, and the Director will have the opportunity to work closely with members, the FADICA team and external partners towards collaborative impact. The Associate will serve as part of the logistics team in the production of FADICA’s symposia series.  Bachelor’s degree required.  Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks required. Ideal candidates will also have strong writing, verbal communication, and computer skills.  Excellent facility with Microsoft Office/365 is required. 

 

THE ROLE 

 

Administrative support  

  • Provide general administrative support to President and CEO  
  • Provide scheduling support to CEO, supporting membership outreach and services in particular 
  • Support correspondence and document preparation tasks 
  • Serve as primary team point for co-working office space, with required in-person presence 2-3 days per week 
  • Working with Administrative director, support accounts payable/accounts receivable organizational tasks 

 

Membership Services  

  • Assist with membership services delivery and provide program (webinar) and event support 
  • Conduct research, online and other, to support organizational priorities  
  • Serve as key member of logistics team producing twice yearly in-person symposia 

 

 

SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE 

While no one candidate will embody all the qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate will possess many of the following professional skills, attributes, and experiences:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience required  
  • 5+ years of administrative and/or program experience, or other organizational support role  
  • Experience in a nonprofit, philanthropic or membership organization a plus 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills 
  • An entrepreneurial and self-starting work ethic, and a flexible resourcefulness.  
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent facility with Microsoft Office/365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint); and the ability to learn additional programs as needed 
  • Strong facility with online research and email communications 
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/priorities 
  • Support for overall organizational strategic goals and commitment to furthering the mission of FADICA 
  • Comfort working within the Catholic faith tradition and a faith-based philanthropic environment

Philanthropy and Education Program Associate

FADICA, a Catholic Philanthropy Network, seeks a self-motivated professional to coordinate and manage FADICA’s Catholic education initiative and contribute to the organization’s overall membership services and outreach program.  The Associate will  coordinate two Catholic education working groups, assist with program planning and outreach, liaise with national Catholic education leaders and donors, and contribute to the national field and dialogue. Another exciting component of this role is the opportunity to help expand FADICA’s membership by identifying potential members – philanthropists and foundations who are seeking a peer philanthropy network enhancing impact. The Associate would be part of a team that plans engagement programs for potential members and supports current members.   

The ideal candidate has experience in Catholic education, program development, and fundraising or member/donor relations. The candidate enjoys setting and achieving benchmarks, working independently and collaborating as a team, and is organized yet flexible.  The Philanthropy and Education Program Associate will play a critical role that will contribute to the organization’s impact regarding Catholic schools, Catholic philanthropy, and the Church as well as FADICA’s growth. FADICA members are among the most entrepreneurial, generous, and faith-driven funders, and many are particularly passionate about and leading in Catholic education. This position includes opportunities for professional development, delivering workshops, and professional networking. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

While no one candidate will embody all the qualifications enumerated below, the ideal candidate will possess many of the following professional abilities, attributes, and experiences:  

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 5+ years of work experience in Catholic education and one of more of the following areas: development/fundraising, membership development, or sales. 
  • Experience in a nonprofit, philanthropic or membership organization a plus. 
  • Skilled at planning and executing programs (e.g., workshops, learning sessions, topical presentations) 
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects with various types of tasks and involving multiple, diverse stakeholders 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written communication skills in order to interact effectively with members and customers outside the organization. 
  • Facility with Microsoft Office Suite, online research, and email communications.  
  • An entrepreneurial mentality, self-starting work ethic, and a flexible resourcefulness.   
  • Support for overall organizational strategic goals and commitment to furthering the mission of FADICA.  
  • Comfort working within the Catholic faith tradition and a faith-based environment; understanding of or interest in the Catholic social tradition (CST).  
  • Ability to travel to represent FADICA at periodic professional conferences, leadership meetings, member visits, and in the normal course of philanthropy services activities.

Location: Remote, reference for candidate with easy access to Washington, DC. 5%-10% travel expected.

Salary: $85,000-$115,000

The Opportunity

FADICA, a Catholic Philanthropy Network, seeks a Director of Program and Impact to  serve as a key member of its dynamic and entrepreneurial team. FADICA supports  effective philanthropy in service to a vital Catholic church and the common good,  providing a symposia series, supporting member fellowship and working groups,  sponsoring research, and facilitating collaborative impact initiatives. 

The Director of Program and Impact will manage and coordinate the development of  FADICA’s  symposia and webinar programs and will lead the organization’s newly launched  Impact Platform. The Director will also coordinate several member working groups  focused on specific issues. FADICA’s Impact Platform is a new collaborative initiative  which connects FADICA’s vibrant and spirit-filled membership to opportunities for  impact in Church and society through a listening, discernment, and communications  process. The Director will supervise the Associate Director for Communications who  leads on communications and engagement for member programs and the Impact  Platform. 

FADICA members are among the most entrepreneurial, generous, and faith-driven  funders, and the Director will have the opportunity to work closely with members, the  FADICA team and external partners in working towards collaborative impact. The ideal  candidate has leadership experience in program-related and collaborative work in  philanthropy, faith-based organizations, or the nonprofit sector. The skills most critical  for this position are skills for fostering collaboration among stakeholders, analytical skills,  and project planning/strategy development skills. Familiarity with Catholic social  teaching is a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Impact Strategy

 

Program Development

  • Manage planning of FADICA’s symposia and member engagement programs.
  • Lead organization’s Impact Platform, a new Catholic philanthropic impact initiative
  • Work collaboratively with FADICA staff, members and community partners to develop member programs and services.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to provide FADICA members with current research on advancing issues important to them.
  • Lead the execution of annual symposia and other large scale events.

Leadership & Staff Management

  • Participate in FADICA’s senior leadership team and provide input on long and short-term planning, budgeting and operations
  • Manage two team members, including the Associate Director of Communications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

While no one candidate will embody all the qualifications enumerated below, the ideal  candidate will possess many of the following professional abilities, attributes, and  experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ years of program and project management experience, and at least 3-5 years in program or project leadership. 
  • Experience managing teams and mentoring staff
  • Proven ability to engage stakeholders in common endeavors for collaborative impact endeavors. 
  • Experience in a nonprofit, philanthropic or membership organization is required.
  • Strong program and project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/priorities. 
  • Broad understanding of ministry or nonprofit communications and engagement, in relation to program delivery and design. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Facility in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint) required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy; an entrepreneurial mentality, self-starting work ethic, and a flexible resourcefulness.
  • Support for overall organizational strategic goals and commitment to furthering the mission of FADICA.
  • Comfort working within the Catholic faith tradition and a faith-based environment; understanding of or interest in the Catholic social tradition  (CST).
