Initiatives:
FADICA’s Mission Driven Investing Member Group creates space for members to collaborate on and clarify their values at the heart of their investment practices.
At FADICA, we believe Mission Driven Investing (MDI) is central to our identity as Catholics and philanthropists. In response to the call of the Gospel, the MDI movement is a response to the structural problems of the global economy. Through Catholic Social Teaching, we are invited to listen to the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor, and actively respond in our unique capacity as asset stewards.
Mission-Driven Investing (MDI) is the art of placing our values and purpose at the heart of our investment practice. It’s about seeing how we invest – and what we invest in – as central to the way we live out our faith and mission in the world.
Mission driven investments are made with intentionality and are designed to generate both a financial and social return. These investments come in a variety of shapes and sizes and exist across all asset classes.
“Mission Driven Investing is my passion. It’s a way for foundations to use all their assets to affect their mission, not simply the income they earn. When this happens on a global scale, we are going to unlock an extraordinary amount of potential to do good.”
