Initiatives:
The call has never been more urgent.
FADICA’s Laudato Si’ Member Group discusses, learns, and collaborates on the manifold ways the call of Laudato Si’ intersects with our life and work as Catholic philanthropists.
At the heart of Pope Francis’s 2015 encyclical Laudato Si’ is the idea of “integral ecology.” Integral ecology means this: everything is connected.
“We are faced not with two separate crises, one environmental and the other social, but rather with one complex crisis which is both social and environmental. Strategies for a solution demand an integrated approach to combating poverty, restoring dignity to the excluded, and at the same time protecting nature” (LS 139).
FADICA is the leading philanthropic peer network serving as a catalyst for a vital Catholic Church, Catholic ministries, and the common good. We promote the growth and effectiveness of Catholic philanthropy inspired by the joy of the Gospel and the Catholic social tradition. FADICA supports its members through education, exchange, fellowship and faith, research, joint funding opportunities, and interaction with Catholic leadership.
